What interior design awards tell a client

A trophy is not the point. What a jury actually tests is whether a room does the job it was drawn to do. Judges look at how a plan handles circulation when the space is full, whether the lighting is doing more than filling a ceiling with downlights, whether a material was chosen because it suits the use or because it photographed well. That is the same set of questions a client should be asking, which is why we treat an award entry as an audit rather than a marketing exercise.

The pattern in the record above matters more than any single line in it. Recognition across residential, retail, restaurant, bar, hotel and nightclub interiors, in consecutive years, says the studio is not a one building type practice living off a single successful project. It also says the work holds up in front of European and Asian juries with quite different reference points.

Recognition travels, too. A hotel operator in another market, a landlord assessing a tenant fit-out, a brand choosing a studio for a first store in Thailand: none of them can visit every project, so an independent judgement carries weight. For our clients the practical benefit is confidence that the studio has delivered comparable work before and can be held to that standard again.

We enter work selectively and only with the client agreement, since an entry usually means releasing images, drawings and sometimes commercial detail. Where a project cannot be published for reasons of privacy or a confidentiality agreement, it stays off this page.

Working with the press

We are glad to supply material for editorial use. For any published project we can provide high resolution images with the correct photography credit, a short project description, the full consultant and contractor credit list, and drawings or plans where the client has agreed to their release. Where a project is still under construction or has not yet opened, we will say so rather than let a date be assumed.

Interviews with the founders on the studio approach, on designing for the Bangkok market, or on a specific building type such as hospitality, clinic and wellness, workplace or restaurant and bar can be arranged in English or Thai. Please allow a few days notice so that we can confirm client permissions before anything is released.
